"Having chosen clay as the medium for my artistic expression, I am always intrigued with the many ways, throughout history, this material has been manipulated. My pursuit is to discover the 'What If' as a departure from conventional forms. My double walled pieces ,for example, break through the definition of a single walled vessel and, while keeping the formal architecture of the form, allow me to explore ideas that are sometimes playful and sometimes deconstructing (as in my fracture series)."
